Line-up

The band's third album, Turn Back, marked the return to the traditional sextet style of previous albums and was a more powerful, consistent effort with an edge that was stronger than Hydra. Its edgier sound reflected the maturation of the group, with drummer Bobby Kimball's greater proficiency on the drums, as well as a more mature, confident vocal delivery from singer Joseph Williams.
